This is the ideal project to make use of left over and odd beads, findings and charms.

Step 1:

Cut the chain into 6 strands of equal lengths of a few centimeters. The more strands of chain you cut the bulkier the finished product.

Step 2:

Select your beads wisely, it may be more profitable to get a mixed pack of beads or put together your own mix. Once you have the chosen beads in front of you, you can start placing them onto the head pins. Some beads may require a hollow bead or spacer first, others may not. This will create a wonderful variety in the finished product.

Step 3:

Taking one strand of chain at a time, randomly select where you would like to place the beads. Loop the head pin through the desired link in the chain.

Step 4:

Cut the head pin with the wire cutters approximately 2cm above the beads. Using the round nose pliers bend the head pin to the side of the beads or charms.

Step 5:

Now bend the head pin upwards and around until you have what may resemble half a circle.

Step 6:

Bend the head pin downwards and fit it into the hole at the top of the bead. Repeat steps 4 through 7 until you have finished.

Step 7:

Open a jump ring for each charm and randomly place on each strand of chain. This can be in the same link as the beads or on the other end of the strand.

Bend a jump ring open by placing the round nose pliers inside the ring and slowly and gently opening the pliers. Bend a jump ring closed by gently closing the flat nose pliers around the jump ring from the outer side.

Step 8:

Place a jump ring at the top end of each strand of chain.

Step9:

Opening the large jump ring, place all the smaller jump rings onto the large one. Close the large jump ring. This may become more difficult as the key ring becomes fuller.

Add to the key ring ring.

Step 10:
