Step by step guide for a chunky chain bracelet.

 

You will need:                       

·         Approximately 1m thick chain

·         Approximately 1m thinner chain

·         Jump rings

·         7 thread spacers

·         Fob clasp

 

·         Wire cutters

·         Flat nose pliers

·         Round nose pliers

Step 1:

 

 Measure the chain to fit around your wrist tightly. (Remember that you will be adding jump rings and spacers and a clasp that will loosen it slightly). Cut 4 strands of the thick chain exactly the same length, and 3 strands of the thin chain also exactly the same length.

Step 2:

 

 Open the jump rings and connect the fob clasp to the spacers.

 

Bend a jump ring open by placing the round nose pliers in side the ring and gently opening them. Close your jump ring by placing the flat nose pliers on the outside of the ring and closing your pliers.

Step 3:

 

 Connect the large chain to the first ring on your spacer using a jump ring.

Step 4:

 

 Now, connect the other end of the large chain to the other spacer using a jump ring.

Step 5:

 

 Use a jump ring to join the smaller chain onto the next loop on the spacer. Do the same on the other end of the small chain connecting it to the other spacer.

Step 6:

 

 Continue to alternate the thick chain and thinner chain in this manner until your chain has all been used.

Step 7:

 

 

It should be a snug, but comfortable fit on your wrist. Wear with pride and enjoy!
