This beaded animal will give you great enjoyment.

Step by step guide for making a gecko.

You will need:                       

·         Wire (approximately 75cm) 

·         Jump ring

·         Dark blue seed beads

·         Light blue seed beads

·         Orange seed beads

·         2 dark pink seed beads

·         Wire cutters

Step 1:

 Center your jump ring onto your piece of wire. One end of the

 wire will be called wire A and the opposite end will be

called wire B.

Feed 2 dark blue seed beads onto wire A. Now feed wire B

through the 2 beads from the opposite end, and gently

pull tight to ensure the beads fit snugly together.

Step 2:

 Now, you’ll make the head:

Onto wire A, feed 3 dark blue beads. Feed wire B

through the beads from the opposite end as in step 1.

This will complete row 2.

Row 3: 1 dark pink, 2 dark blue, 1 dark pink

Row 4:  3 dark blue

Row 5:  2 dark blue

Row 6:  4 dark blue

Step 3:

 Now you’ll make the legs:

Onto wire A, feed 2 dark blue beads followed by 4 orange beads.

 Now, feed wire A back through the 2 dark blue beads

skipping the orange beads. Repeat this procedure on wire B.

Gently pull tight.

Step 4:

 Now, you’ll make the body:

Row 7:  1 dark blue, 2 light blue, 1 dark blue

Row 8: 1 dark blue, 2 light blue, 1 dark blue

Row 9: 1 dark blue, 3 light blue, 1 dark blue

Row 10: 1 dark blue, 3 light blue, 1 dark blue

Row 11: 1 dark blue, 3 light blue, 1 dark blue

Row 12: 1 dark blue, 3 light blue, 1 dark blue

Row 13: 1 dark blue, 3 light blue, 1 dark blue

Row 14: 1 dark blue, 2 light blue, 1 dark blue

Step 5:

 Now, you’ll make the back legs:

Onto wire A, feed 2 dark blue beads followed by 4 orange beads.

 Feed wire A back through the 2 dark blue beads,

skipping the orange beads. . Repeat this procedure on wire B.

Gently pull tight.

Step 6:

 Now, you’ll start with the tail:

Row 15: 1 dark blue, 1 light blue, 1 dark blue

Row 16: 2 dark blue

Step 7:

 Put the 2 ends of the wire together and gently twist around

 each other.

 Now, add onto the joined wire, 15 dark blue seed beads.

Separate the wires again.

 Step 8:

Now, add one dark blue seed bead to wire A. Feed wire B

 through the bead.

 Now repeat the above.

Step 9:

 Cut off the extended pieces of wire.

 Step 10:

Enjoy using your beaded critter as a charm on your bag, keys or even cell phone.
