Free step by step bead pattern guide for making a simple charmed ankle chain.

 

You will need:              

·        Thin chain

·        Clasp

·        Hollow beads

·        Split rings

·        Head pins

·        Charms

Step 1:

 

Measure a length of the chain tightly around your ankle, just above your ankle bone. Cut with wire cutters.

Step 2:

 

On one end place a split ring. Attach the clasp to this split ring.

Step 3:

 

On the other end attach another split ring. This is where your clasp will latch onto.

Step 4:

 

Lay your chain out flat on a level surface. Place where you would like to put your charms and hollow beads. For a fuller effect, you can place them closer together.

Step 5:

 

Take the same number of head pins as you have hollow beads. Place your beads onto these head pins.

Step 6:

 

Cut approximately 1cm above the bead. Use round nose pliers to create a loop.

Step 7:

 

Place split rings onto the loops you’ve just created.

Step 8:

 

Place split rings onto the loops of the charms.

Step9:

 

Place as desired onto the links of your chain.

Step 10:

 

If the chain remains too tight, add another split ring to the end. If it is too lose, move the split ring back a few links from the end of your chain.
