Step by step bead project for making a book mark.

You will need:              

·        Beading elastic

·        Assorted beads

·        Charms

·        Head pins

Step 1:

Measure the elastic around the cover of the book of your choice. In this example there is enough elastic to make a double strand in front and a single strand around the back.

Step 2:

Make a knot on one end of the elastic and begin placing your beads on randomly. Only place enough beads to cover the front of the book. Make a knot after the last bead.

Step 3:

Run the elastic around the back of the book. Pull tight and tie a knot in at the end where you started beading. This will secure the elastic in place. Begin feeding more beads onto the free elastic.

Step 4:

Once you reach the top of the book again, finish off by making another knot. Secure all the knots that you have made by placing clear nail varnish on.
